The Patient Experience Project (PEP) has announced the hiring of Jamey Hardesty, MPH.
Hardesty joins PEP as an associate medical director. He is responsible for managing the strategic direction and quality control for the medical and scientific content across all network channels, including medical education, professional, online and offline promotional, digital and managed markets. In his role, Hardesty also educates the agency team on various disease states, treatments, clinical trials, and new products and indications.
Before joining PEP, Hardesty worked for a pharmaceutical marketing agency, providing medical strategy for a variety of disease states, including acute and chronic pain, infertility medicine, and orphan and rare diseases. Previously, he was a pandemic influenza epidemiologist with the Michigan Department of Community Health Division of Communicable Diseases.
“Jamey’s previous work experience and his training and ongoing engagement in public health in the community makes him a great fit for the position at PEP,” explains PEP Chief Medical Officer Uwe Tigör, MD. “His passion for science, medical background, and desire to help people by improving the patient experience are qualities that will make him a great asset to our team, our clients, and the patients and caregivers we work with.”
Hardesty earned his Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology, molecular genetics, and human biology from Michigan State University. Currently, he is working on his MBA from the University at Albany in upstate New York.
Outside of work, Hardesty is the vice chairperson for the associate board of directors of The Community Hospice Foundation serving New York’s Capital Region. He also volunteers for Code Blue Homeless Shelter in Saratoga Springs, and the Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne. Hardesty has been selected as a 2017 “40 under 40” honoree by the Albany Business Review, an award that recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional business acumen, leadership skills, and community involvement.
