Life in the Left Lane

As the world celebrates the 29th annual Left Handers day, PEP employees weigh in on living life as a lefty.

“Lefties not only live but excel in a right-handed world. We are forced to be creative problem solvers from the moment someone hands us the first pair of righty scissors in preschool. Though we only make up 10% of the population, there is no denying our BIG impact.”

Kristin Phillips, proud lefty and
managing director of strategy and PEPpartners

“The need to be more ambidextrous results in more creativity and innate problem-solving. Plus, being left handed is the perfect excuse for sitting on the left end of a table, and you never have to switch hands with your fork when eating.”

Bill O’Bryon, proud lefty and
managing director, digital and client services

In Good Company
PEP’s left-handed employees were surveyed and asked who their favorite famous lefties are. Here’s their short list:

  • Babe Ruth
  • Jimi Hendrix
  • Tina Fey
  • Steve Jobs
  • Bill Gates
  • Barack Obama
  • Lady Gaga
