The Patient Experience Project (PEP) has presented two recent high school graduates with its “Above & Beyond Scholarship,” given to outstanding students who have demonstrated superior academic achievement, exemplary leadership, and community involvement.
Hannah Hertik and Peyton Yourch, both Saratoga Springs High School graduates, are this year’s recipients. Each student received a $1,500 scholarship. Hertik will attend the State University of New York at Oswego in the fall, where she plans to study human development with a focus on children. Yourch will attend Pace University in New York City, where she hopes to major in peace and justice studies.
“These scholarships are PEP’s way of helping outstanding, well-rounded high school seniors continue to pursue their goal of attaining a higher education,” said PEP’s Founder and President Dan Bobear. “The costs of attending college have never been higher, and we believe that students who have demonstrated an exemplary work ethic, ambition, and leadership should be rewarded.”
This is the second year that PEP has awarded the Above & Beyond Scholarships to local students.
