The Patient Experience Project (PEP) Celebrates 5th Anniversary

A 5th anniversary ribbon cutting is held at PEP’s new headquarters,  just as the agency is recognized as one of 2017’s fastest-growing private companies in America.

The Patient Experience Project, a marketing and communications agency based in Saratoga Springs, New York, celebrated its 5th anniversary with a ribbon cutting ceremony at PEP’s new office at 4 Congress Place in Saratoga Springs on August 16, 2017.

Founded in April 2012, PEP recently moved to its new location to accommodate the agency’s steady growth. At the end of PEP’s first year, the agency had 4 employees. Today, PEP has 51 employees, with additional hires expected this year. PEP’s hiring forecast includes positions to be filled for the Saratoga Springs office as well as a satellite office, which is expected to open in Chicago in the coming months.

Coinciding with PEP’s 5-year milestone, the agency has been named to the Inc. 5000 for 2017, a list of fastest-growing private companies in America. The complete list will go live on in late August and appear in Inc.’s printed magazine in September.

Before moving to its current 9,000 square foot location, PEP was located at 19 Railroad Place and previously at 112 Spring Street, both in Saratoga Springs. The new office space on Congress Place also houses PEP’s sister company, 32 Mile Media, a video production agency founded in 2016. By sharing a roof, the two companies have elevated their video product, as PEP’s creative teams now readily and more fully collaborate with the directors, producers, and editors of 32 Mile Media.

“Our employees are our greatest asset, and I’m proud tohave attracted such world-class professionals who share a vision to do work that positively impacts lives,” explained Dan Bobear, co-founder and president of PEP. “I’m also pleased that we’ve been able to build our business in Saratoga Springs, a beautiful place to live and work.”

PEP was named among the 2016 “Best Places to Work” in New York’s Capital Region by the Albany Business Review. Additionally, PEP was selected as one of the most innovative companies of the year in 2015 by PM360, a print and online publication serving pharmaceutical and medical device professionals.

Peter Bardunias, president and CEO of the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County, noted the impact PEP has had on surrounding areas. “PEP is a success story that shows the great talent that we have right in our region. Not only has PEP been a positive economic engine for our local community, but the agency is also a good neighbor in supporting families with rare diseases and charitable causes.”

PEP gives back to the community, hosting charity events like the Rare Disease Day at the Movies, as well as sponsoring and providing in-kind services to help various organizations advance their efforts to educate others, raise funds for research, and support families living with life-altering conditions.
